made you something for the solstice 🌙
Happy winter solstice, the longest night of the year ❄️
It’s been raining almost every day here this week, and the mist has given everything this mysterious quality.
I went down to the ocean the other day and it was viciously cold, but so beautiful, and I got to see the sunset.
I think that’s what I love about the solstice, not just about the light coming back, but the way it highlights the contrast.
Darkness makes light feel like something worth paying attention to.
There’s also research suggesting darkness enhances creativity by freeing us from our usual constraints NPR, and I feel that. Creativity isn’t always about making; sometimes it’s about allowing time to dream and gather inspiration.
The quiet, the fog, the long nights, they’re making space for something.
I made you a playlist for tonight and this week….
✨❄️ LISTEN TO THE WINTER SOLSTICE PLAYLIST ❄️ ✨
If you feel like reflecting on the longest night, here are a few journal prompts:
What surprised you most about yourself this year?
What permission do you need to give yourself for 2026?
What’s been trying to emerge from your own “fertile darkness” lately?
What would you do if you trusted yourself completely?
As this year winds down, I just want to say thank you for being part of this journey with me in 2025.
Your support means everything ❤️ I’m already dreaming up whats in store for 2026.
Happy holidays, however you celebrate!
Cheers to the fertile darkness and whatever it’s quietly growing in us.
